Pancakes in a box!

We don't really care if it comes on a plate or in a box...

...We'll take our vegan pancakes, potatoes and sausages anyway you'd like to serve them!

Even with a side of live children's music at 8:00am yesterday morning...

Not everyone can appreciate live music so early in the morning.

Local juggling phenomenon Robin Chestnut gets a helping hand from Number One Son.

In other news... check out these mutton chops!?

Never leave home without it!

I wish I could boast that I ALWAYS have a camera by my side, but I don't. I'm not even equipped with a cell phone camera as I don't own a cell phone. Aside from that, I am glad that I DID have my camera by my side yesterday; when I noticed this deer in the corner of my eye, making it's way through some demolition rubble in a parking lot... beside some train tracks.

About Face

Just like Polaroids used to be utilized for a "lighting test" when film was the only option, I often shoot "lighting tests" with the DSLR before proceeding with shooting film. Why not! Film is expensive and so it calibrating my light meter!

As facial expressions can be so different from one fraction of a second to another, you may find it hard to choose between the lighting test shots and the "planned shot".

While sifting through the lighting test shots of our family-friend Laurien that I shot before she returned to Germany this past summer, it reminded me how much the facial expression can change the whole tone of an image.

In the end, I was still happy with the intended shot, using Ilford Delta 400 shot with the Nikon FM2.

Bonus Cup

If you're old enough to understand "Bonus Cup", you're old enough to appreciate this. Not only did Bob Somers recently announce that his band (The Bondaduces) were releasing a new album, but he also recently showed up to The Edge Skatepark to remind me that there's more than one way to rock n' roll!

Thanks Bob!

Collective Chaos Opening Night

As expected, Graffiti Art Programing Inc. put one one heck of an opening for their Collective Chaos - en masse show last night.

You still have to go down to the gallery to appreciate it's awesomeness in it's entirety, so we're not posting photos of the entire project itself. Not yet anyway... there's still a month for you to get off of your couch and down to the gallery to see it in person.

Winnipeg Jets fans may recognize some of these faces in the crowd...

(From left to right) Jim Slater, Pat Lazo (despite all the things he does do, playing for The Jets is not one of them), Anthony Peluso and Mark Stuart.
