I have been a Bobcat Goldthwait fan since the Police Academy days. I have enjoyed his live stand up comedy twice, I was jealous when I heard my friend Jennifer took in some up close and personal laughs while being fortunate enough to be at his dinner table during a film festival down south and now I just can't wait to see his new movie God Bless America

Since his "Eddie Jackson" character on the U.S. version of Shameless committed suicide in the first season it only makes sense that Joel Murray shows up in something crazy like this!

I WISH the above statement could be true, but this is Winnipeg so that's a challenge. However... Ever since the completion of The Angry Ramp it has been possible to do so and the only thing stopping us is our own hectic schedules. It's safe to say on a good week 5 out of 7 days are skateboard days so far this year. It's been amazing!

Dead Beats - by Shawna Conner

When I showed up at the opening of Shawna Conner's Dead Beats show at Negative Space last Thursday evening something happened that would usually be considered a game-ender, but instead I treated it like a welcome surprise. I had opened up my camera bag only to realize that I had brought my digital camera with me as I usually would to an event like this, but I instantly noticed I left the battery at home in the charger. Instead of being disappointed I was excited as it forced me to grab my film camera. Not just because I prefer to shoot film and I more often than not choose the digital camera instead for convenient blogging purposes etc..., but becuase the lighting conditions were less than stellar which created another challenge that I was also prepared for. I broke out the Ilford 3200 speed film I had stashed away in my bag for quite some time. I had no idea why I even bought it as I moved away from using the higher speed films years ago. Now I knew why. It was for last Thursday night.

The only downside to shooting film last Thursday is that I wasn't in the mood for an all night developing party so you're only hearing about Shawna's show now and here it is...

For some of us, skateboarding is about taking baby steps. Learn a trick on something small and gradually take that same trick and try it on something bigger. Innovation often kicks in when you're ready to take it to the next level and you're all out of "bigger".

That would explain why Daniel decided it was time to throw bomb drops off of the chair placed on top of the extension last night at The Angry Ramp.

For the other parents out there...Yes,my stomach tightens up each time a new trick is learned! It's a mixed bag of emotion witnessing your son reach new heights. No pun intended.

If you saw our friend Brendon walking down the street some of the first thing that might come to mind could be here's a punk rocker, this guy likes The Misfits etc... Then if you watched him skateboard you might think...Suicidal Tendencies... cause Brendon is gnarly like that!

Skateboarding comes with it's good days and bad days as there will always be bails. This one's hard to watch.

So with medium format on the mind I went back and hit up the archives for some of the classics shot on 120. That's when I found this...

I was invited down to the 18+ Session at The Edge Skatepark tonight so I could witness to a special occasion. Geoff from the Edge called everyone in the park over to hand Cliff a mystery box and asked him to open it up.

Surprise! The crew that helps run the park thought it was due time to celebrate Cliff Heide's ten year mark of running the park by creating his "pro model". The Chief! Since 79'!

In Edge Skatepark years that's a long time. Cliff has been overseeing the park for half of it's existence. Impressive.

Meanwhile back at the bowl... Alex Doyle gets some footage of Austin Thomas landing an airwalk fakie.

Cliff's pro model and two more Edge Skatepark decks are now available at the pro shop at the park.

Low Life Customs/Winnipeg's Most Wanted Project # 2

In the summer of 2010 we completed the first Low Life Customs/Winnipeg's Most Wanted collaboration project.

Since that project was completed we've slowly (very slowly) been working on the idea of a new project we've dubbed Operation K.O.T.B. (more on that later).

We're not expecting to have this project finished any time too soon, but WMW did send over a few photos to let us know that it has begun!

Stay tuned on this one as we will be returning to this story now and again I'm sure.

We once built a Cadillac from the grill backwards. This time we started back in 2010 with the idea that we'd built this project from the pumps forward!

So there's that.

Ode to the Birdman

At the risk of dating myself, I'll admit that I was introduced to Tony Hawk via my first Transworld Skateboarding Mags and Thrasher Magazines back in 86'. Even back then I think his image was a bit too polished for some in the ads of the magazines, but there was no denying that every kid aspired to be as good as him and his Bones Brigade teammates at the time.

Fast forward twenty six years and Tony Hawk releases his 2012 footage earlier today. We encourage you to watch it and while you do, keep in mind that he's forty three years old!

Despite who you look up to in skateboarding, who inspires you or who your personal hero may be there will always be one name that is always synonymous with skateboarding and that is Tony Hawk.

He's usually not even on my own radar except for occasions like when Grandma buys Tony Hawk shirts for number one son, because she's under the impression that if you like skateboarding, you like Tony Hawk. This isn't such a bad thing to me. Maybe it's better if an eight year old looks up to Tony Hawk instead of the Deathwish Team and other similar options.

Hawk popped up on our radar last year when he showed up at the 7th Annual Vans Pro-tec Pool Party to skate in the Masters Finals category in the Combi Bowl while we watched the contest stream live. He's no Chris Miller, Lance Mountain or Steve Caballero when it comes to bowl riding as he's always been more of a vert ramp skater, but he threw down with the rest of them and still managed to grab fourth place.

Today after school I showed the above footage to number one son. He appeared semi-impressed at first and then spoke up and said "Shaun White can do better than that". I was quick to add "maybe so, but Shaun White is almost 20 years younger". That was the end of that conversation and he continued watching and then he started expressing how impressed he really was.

By coincidence, he just happened to be wearing one of his Tony Hawk shirts all day. Maybe some day he'll look back and shake his head for wearing the clothes that grandma bought. In the meantime he cared more about taking his inspiration for the day and throwing down himself with a clean front side disaster off of the extension at The Angry Ramp.

I've had been looking forward to today for more than a week. Well today had arrived and it started early and yummy thanks to the folks at Black Sheep Diner. It's not the first time I've praised their vegan French Toast offering and it probably won't be the last.

Obviously if we're out this early on a Sunday we're out with our breakfast buddies!

While we were out capturing some images with the medium format camera in the cold I noticed this in the corner of my eye.

So many good uses for skateboard parts these days from art to function.

More times than not they are used for their intended purpose.

Today marked the official launch of the Every Second Sunday/P&S rental sessions at The Edge Skatepark.

Some days feel less perfect that others and some weeks have days like those jammed in there back to back all week long. This last week was beginning to feel like one of those weeks and then before even having to dig deep to focus on all of the positive things going on...Friday night kicked off with all sorts of good stuff and great news.

The first thing I stumbled upon when arriving at our headquarters was a box full of goodies from our friends over at New Line

They apologized it wasn't simply a box full of cash, but we appreciated the gesture none the less.

Then moments later I hear from my friend that Operation "KOTB" is finally underway!

That is exciting to us. More on that later...

Last but not least...we finished our night at The Angry Ramp of course, but you knew that already.

We briefly met Randy Wall back in December at A Finely Crafted Sale. I made arrangements with him to pick up some some of his unique artwork at his art lab/studio prior to Christmas and this is what I stumbled upon when I entered the world of MaddRandall.

Needless to say, I instantly requested to return with my camera to share what was going on in Randy's world! Randy politely invited us back to his basement of awesome.

One of the first things that came to mind when I first laid eyes upon Randy's art lab is how I only wished I had stumbled upon it before P/S Zine Issue I - The Collectors Issue

I think Randy had just about every genre of toys offered in his collection.

Shortly after posting about skipping a day posting I miss yet another day all together while hiding from the world fighting off one of far too many head colds I've endured this winter. I didn't even put my face in front of a computer screen for over 24hrs. Now I'm back and playing catch up.

We've posted stuff now and again from Die Antwoord and it's no surprise to us that this trailer leads us to believe that their up and coming video release will be something next level. After the Evil Boy video we expect no less.

We try to update this blog on a daily basis. Some days we succeed, others we don't. We just enjoy taking photos and sharing some of our adventures...it's that simple. Yesterday we took photos, but haven't got around to sharing them yet becuase that's the way it goes. Today was another skateboarding day so we're back at it. Today could repeat itself again and again and again and it wouldn't bother me a bit. It was fun.

Field Trippin' Part I

Welcome to the first (of hopefully many) of the "field trippin'" series. I'd love to say we jumped in to a time machine for our first field trip to grab this image...

...but even if we did it feels like we landed back in 1977 and not the times of corralling the buffalo on the plains as that would be about the first time I think I saw this display. It was pretty amazing to me then and it's still sort of crazy now.

This is our friend Ann.

She's the one that suggested going on a "field trip" a short while ago and we accepted. We suggested back that we take it up a notch. We're gonna do our best to check off a couple of the typical things from suggestions of lists such as 101 Things To Do in Winnipeg or Manitoba's Star Attractions.

The first thing I noticed from these lists aside from Thing To Do # 101: "Show off your moves (or just watch the experts) at Canada’s largest Skateboard Plaza located at The Forks" is that the majority of these things don't appeal to me so we might start making our own list of Things To Do while in Winnipeg aside from get on an airplane and go elsewhere which I believe is a favourite amongst the locals.

This was the rest of our field trippn' crew.

The first lesson learned on any field trip is that most of the fun can be had before even paying the price of admission if the world is your playground.

So back to the field trip. If you're a local and you've been on a field trip before...well this one is an obvious one from the first photo...we were at the Manitoba Museum (formerly known as The Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature until "man" became a naughty word despite the fact that "man", "woman" and "human" all end in "man").

There are options when you get to the museum. The obvious being to check out the museum itself where the displays are becoming just as much relics as the artifacts that are in them. While you're there you can take a stroll on the Nonsuch where Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez played Tonsil Hockey during a recent visit to "The Peg". The other options being the Science Gallery, the Planetarium or the option we chose... Circus!

The highlights of the Circus exhibit being tight rope walking and the whatever you call this thing...

Number one son pulled off 21 back flips in-a-row and then we were outta' there! Field trip commenced, on to other adventures...

...like Dwayne Larson's b-day party/house warming celebration!

Best way to check if you're at a good party or not is the source of the music. Spinning records on an old school turntable is always a win in my books.

A good taste in music helps as well.

I cased the joint and took inventory of of the goodies on the shelf such as the Canon rangefinder, a Polaroid and a Holga.

I bumped in to an acquaintance one day while out for lunch and he pointed out that that particular moment was the first time in over twenty years of seeing me around town that I didn't have a camera around my neck. I laughed, cause I obviously don't always have a camera around my neck. When I feel like shooting I do and if I'm attending an event or something of that nature I usually would have my camera with me.

There has been however certain occasions where I was torn on the decision, but left it at home anyway. A couple of those occasion passed recently and as much as I felt naked without it I ventured onward without. That would explain why there was no post yesterday perhaps as Friday's night's art show and post art show skateboarding and Saturday's skateboarding were documented by the naked eye only and stored in my own memory instead of on film or a hard drive.

This morning was different because I deemed it as a "must bring" camera situation. My friend Keith is ready to move some of his records and t-shirts and that's an event worthy of documentation and sharing!

This year I'm going to expand the selections to a few more categories. Last night I did the unthinkable. I left my camera at home and headed out to the Sk8 Skates Christmas party to mingle with skateboard type folks and witness some Clowns N' F'N Roses perform. It was entertaining to say the least, but without any documentation, Monday quickly turned in to Wednesday...so here we are.

Quite possibly the first transfer out of the new bowl at the Egde Skatepark; Mitch Lavoie doesn't just transfer to the giant bank, he transfers to the narrow bank on the hubba! Why not...he's Mitch Lavoie!

I was pleasantly surprised and stoked yesterday to hear I made Ace Burpee's "Most Fascinating Manitobans of 2011" Top 100 List

I guess it makes sense. You take a slice Gail Asper and a slice of Mark Chipman, slap a Cam Nikkel #69 in between and you get a Cam Sandwich?

In all seriousness, it was much appreciated and this news easily made it high up on the list of reasons why yesterday was a great day in general! Thank you!

I have explained to a few people in the past that good intentions on their own won't likely get you where you'd like to be. I feel that I can confidently say that when I set out to do something or follow through with an idea, that this happens more often than not.

A fall/winter line for P&S is a perfect example. This hooded sweatshirt isn't even out yet!

There's a good reason for that. We have an unwritten rule around here. Life first, making new shirts...somewhere after first. We like to keep our priorities in check.

We like these sweatshirts and good things come to those who wait right? So eventually we'll get around to making them available to you! We promise.

Food, friends and the fashionista...

First order of business yesterday was meeting our friends for lunch at boon. It's not uncommon for us to post about food now and again. This is less about the food or the restaurant itself, but the company we keep.

Amanda and...

...Jordy are often down to meet up for good vegan eats. Food is just as good of an excuse as any to get out and see your friends!

Speaking of friends. One of the best kind of friends to have is the cook himself! Andrews makes good food...so go pay him a visit and get down with the good stuff.

On a side note...who was it that started the "rabbit ears" behind people's heads in photos? If kids had their way...there would be a pair in each picture ever taken!

After lunch we met up with someone I would refer to as a fashionista. It's simple... Jessica is passionate about fashionable matters.

She's fun, we like her, we shot her...with cameras obviously. More on that later so stay tuned.

Last weekend's inaugural session at our indoor oasis most recently dubbed the "angry ramp" helped us figure out what would make this ramp the best it could be. So after another week of hard work by the crew, we were back to putting on the finishing touches this weekend.

"When is The Edge Skate Park open to the public?" has been a popular question these days. The answer is still "not yet!", so be patient young grasshoppers! A few more weeks and all your dreams will come true. That of course is assuming you dream of skating indoors when it's -40° Celsius outside.

P&S was happy to be invited to another park demo during another facility tour put on by YFC. While there...I took a photo.

After spending a few days on the road with Austin Thomas this past summer, there's one thing I noted... he fears nothing!

I showed up to the Centre for Youth Excellence the same moment as our city mayor did. As I held the door open for him and his friends I overhear him say "Let's go to the skate park!" An impressive first order of business.

Obviously this event was a big deal. Dan Neufeld was on the scene!

Our "insider" is amongst those invited for the ribbon cutting ceremony and a tour of the facilities.

Architect Raymond Wan was one of the recipients of the plaques handed out to show the appreciation to various key people involved in the project of creating this state of the art Youth Centre.

There were speeches...

...generous Winnipegers were thanked for their donations, more money was donated as was art.

"To get rid of any confusion. Today the new YFC building will be having a MEDIA grand opening - not a public grand opening. This event is an invite only event for Media, Political guests, The Mayor etc. NOT for anyone that would like to come skate. We have invited a few guys to demo for TV shots but this will not eve...n b...e long as they will have to stop skating for Program, speeches, ribbon cutting etc. DO NOT COME TO SKATE UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN PERSONALLY INVITED TO THIS EVENT TO DEMO. We would have loved to have everyone for this but it is not possible. There will be a public grand opening and we will be posting information about when we can open AS SOON AS WE KNOW WHEN WE CAN. The park is looking sick and almost done. This event is to make people aware that there is still a need to raise almost 3 or the 13 Million dollars we need to make it happen. There are MANY people working super hard to make this place happen and even more donating millions of dollars. Welcome to Absurd Machine Studio

Last night was the much anticipated opening of Be:Cultured's Downtown Underground. Since I caught these same friends at last week's LEGENDS of the STACHE show, they can now be dubbed the usual suspects with a side of Dayna Danger! Dayna just happens to have some great colour prints in the show!

Ailsa Dyson and Jon Schledewitz both had great photos in the show. Jon's Lemmie Kilmister print is spectacular!

If you thought Doug Humiski blew your mind with his early 80's photos of the Dead Kennedys and more in Volume One of the Call*Response Book you have got to see what he broke out of the vaults for this show! Yeah that's Chi Pig as a teenager and wait for it...Ian Makaye, Jeff Nelson, Lyle Preslar and Brian Baker of Minor Threat. Just another day shooting back in the day for Doug.

For the 1982? era Black Flag fans...

We like to stay on top of things over here at Pancakes and Skateboards. Today our "insider" sent some pics of the ongoing construction at The Edge Skate Park. I was already stoked about tomorrow night's Downtown Underground when I dropped by Absurd Machine Studio today at 72 Princess St. and it was then I had a revelation which increased my level of stoked-ness.

When I first read the address nothing special occured to me. When I first walked up the stairs no memories of ever having been in the building kicked in. When I was shown around the space I was taken back on what a wicked job these guys did reonovating and retrofitting this place for all sorts of creative projects they have on the go, but still didn't recognize where I was. It wasn't until they took me up on to a balcony built (not too long ago in the grand scheme of things) when I looked down and realized I was staring in to the corner where a stage once stood that hosted bands like 7 Seconds, Circle Jerks, SNFU, Artificial Life, Beyond Possesion, Global Genocide, Mourning Sickness, The Replacements, Government Issue and the list goes on.

Now Be:Cultured was holding it's art show in support of Call*Response in this same great space that once was a black cave that once hosted some of the greatest mosh pits in my own life history and transformed it into a beautiful space ready to host one amazing show.

How amazing you ask? Aside from the live music, live art and the plethora of local photographers and artists displaying their goods you get this:

Two "John's" for the price of NONE! That's right! Admission is free and two of my favourite local photographers are in the show.

"John" # 1 is Johnny Campbell. I'm anxious to see what he brings to the show. He's always got something interesting on the go. Here's a sample from his blog.

"John" # 2 is the photographer I've looked up to most over the past 23 years; Jon Schledewitz. He's been here, there and everywhere documenting life around him since before we even met. Here's a sample of his from a Mouthpiece show from way back.

The show runs 6pm-11pm Thursday and Friday. See you there (unless of course I dislike you...then feel free to stay at home).

So here's the deal. Sometimes I get sick or close to it. When I am at that point I am likely in a bed or on a couch and not in front of a computer. In turn, productivity goes down! Way down!

Since I haven't been out and about town I have decided to keep it close to home and bring your attention to my son's door. Since I'm on the subject of doors I am reminded of SNFU's Mind Like a Door song. The lyrics often match my own state of mind, but yet they have nothing to to with my son's door...so back to that...

I don't recall ever being asked for permission for stickers to be applied to his door, but yet it would have been silly to deny such a request with stickers over a good handful of other household items. Kids like stickers...so it's always interesting to see if they get put up with discretion or simply at random. Is there a grand design in mind or does it just evolve as the stickers arrive? I'm not really sure but I do really dig his door.

We made our way out to the Graffiti Gallery for the LEGENDS of the STACHE show.

There were mustaches everywhere.

More impressively, there was great art abound!

Then and now - Full Circle Stop

Despite how excited I was about the opportunity to go see Youth of Today in Toronto last Friday I was on the fence about spending the big bucks on a plane ticket until just days before the show. Seeing a good band is lovely, but it's often hard to justify spending money on a flight just to make it happen. I was looking for a good excuse, one more reason to go to Toronto or "a sign". Two days before the show that sign came in the form of an old friend getting in touch over the internet.

I hadn't heard from him in over two decades, but if there was a sign this was it. My friend Len used to be the drummer in one of the longer lasting musical efforts from my past;Peak of Outrage. We not only listened to Y.O.T. together, we did back to back covers of Positive Outlook/Slow Down during some of our sets to bring that NYHC influence to our fans.

After the P.O.O. gig Len went on to play with local band Orange Juice.

After Orange Juice disbanded Len left Winnipeg and joined the ranks of west coast hardcore's Strain. He eventually moved east and drummed for NY's 108 for a spell before eventually settling in Toronto.

I asked him if he'd like to see Y.O.T. me and he asked me if I was crazy... of course he did.

It was no surprise to me that Len is still at it creating and writing music in his crib, always ready to start the next project.

Flea Market finds

We're well on our way in to winter around here so we're doing our best to adjust our activities based on less than desirable weather. We headed down to Mulvey Flea Market this past Sunday to fill the void and take a look around, cause you never know what you're going to find.

Wow! Moving along... the next vendor and I were trying to figure out what the significance is behind the tennis lady with the clown paint on her face. Maybe she's a Juggalo or a Crunk Clown on the side? Weird.

Saturday in Toronto

After a long day of travel and a night of straight edge hardcore mayhem in Toronto I was woken bright and early the next morning by my skateboarding buddy Jacqui who had recently relocated from Winnipeg. She was gracious enough to offer up her couch during my overnight stay.

Shortly after she left for work I passed right back out. Living the life of "never sleep" catches up to you sooner or later. When I awoke I documented some of the awesomeness and art in the place she calls home.

Despite having a mini art gallery on our own walls back at home, I was jealous and inspired while looking around her crib.

This is only a small glimpse of what was on display.

I found a stack of motivation for the days Jacqui's in the mood to shred.

When I finally did hit the streets, the first order of business was meeting up with Big Jerm. He's my East Side connection from the days when I lived and breathed lowriding on a daily basis. He's been at it non stop since the day we met and he's reppin' Rollerz Only Car Club 24/7

For the reader's of my blog that may be thinking "here he goes again rambling about lowriders, give me some skateboarding!"... Here's something for you. The lowrider meets skateboarding crossover collaboration. The Etnies Rollerz Only shoe model.

Now that the non-paid Etnies endorsement is over we can get on to some subliminal endorsements. Eat lunch here...

I imagine all of the food is equally delicious. I love "all vegan" restaurants...they make the simple act of ordering lunch that much easier. I had the burrito bowl!

Since it was a nice enough November day in the market for the fruit to be outside...

...it was a perfect day for a bro-mantic walk around the neighborhood to check out some art. Like this. I can dig it.

There's always the argument of what is art and what is graffiti, what is good and what is bad. Let me break it down for you. This vandalized store front... bad.

The piece on this garage... good.

Toronto is well known for it's Graffiti Expo in designated areas. If you take a stroll off the beaten path, your eyes will thank you for it.

The bro-mance ended, Big Jerm headed back to the burbs and it was time to meet the big city friends for supper. If there's another "all vegan" option in town for dinner, well of course that's where I'm gonna be! Hogtown Vegan's Chicken and waffles with fries. Tastes as good as it looks!

In a city of 2.5 million people I bumped in to my own roommate TWICE in a twelve hour period of being in the city. Meeting for dinner was fully intentional. A Big thanks to Youth of Sarde (left) for loving Youth of Today, Greg (right) for booking Youth of Today to play in your fine city and to xbeepsx (the roommate) for helping me navigate all the deliciousness abound.

Toronto...in the past I've written you off as a mere hub on my way to some hardcore show, car show or some other destination all together. When I actually slowed down and gave you a chance to impress me you did just that. With a city full of culture, art, cyclists, yummy food, beautiful women in the subway and on the streets, markets packed with people armed with genuine smiles...I can only say I'll be back sooner than later next time!

Flame Still Burns

I was interested to see what the 2011 version of DYS was all about, but unfortunately they were a no show on Friday in Toronto so Career Suicide filled their spot.

If memory serves correct these guys used to play in Winnipeg quite a bit, but I do believe this was the first time I caught them live.

The energy in the room was full of anticipation for Youth of Today to hit the stage. My anticipation had been growing for quite some time. Not only have I been talking about going to this show for months, but I've been wanting to see Youth of Today perform live since the first time I ever heard them.

I remember the very evening my friend Ricki and I were on our way to a hardcore show when he told me he had something I had to hear before we got to the show. He brought me up to his apartment on Kennedy St. in downtown Winnipeg and put in the Breakdown the Walls cassette (Wishing Well Records to be exact) in to his ghetto blaster. I remember not making out exactly what the singer was saying... "MAKE A CHAAARARARAROUNGE!" It blew my mind.

This goes back to late 87', early 88' and the chances of New York hardcore bands passing through Winnipeg were slim to none at the time with the exception of the Cro-Mags in 86' on the GBH tour. The next best chance we would have had would be catching them play in Minneapolis. Years past and the closest we came to seeing Youth of Today was their band members newer projects Judge and Shelter play at 7th ST. Entry south of the border.

So long story short...I was stoked for what was about to go down.

I believe it's been over 20 years since Youth of Today played in Toronto. I would say most of the fans in the place weren't even born at the time. Old or young fans came from all over. Alberta, Newfoundland and Quebec just to name a few.

When I first walked in to the club I saw these Varsity jackets on the Montreal boys. I had to grab a photo!

Last week when we were at Central Canada Comic Con we stopped by the Evey Art booth. One piece from this local artist's collection caught my eye, but I failed to make a purchase. I redeemed myself by ordering a print from her online after the fact. Today it showed up in the mail! Thank you mailman, thank you Evey Muller!

Riot !n Paris visit to Winnipeg revisited.

I do my best to stay on the other side of the camera 99% if the time, never mind doing an impromptu interview. None the less Riot !n Paris forced me at iphone point to do both after their performance at the P&S Issue II Zine and P&S/Riot !n Paris collab launch party this past September. They even met up with some of Winnipeg’s lowriders the next day as they were about to embark on a tour of our fine city. Enjoy

New adventures in old places

Thankfully the snow has yet to dump. So there's no reason to not be out skateboarding. We met up with Grady and started off the afternoon at Park West.

Since we were all the way out there we introduced Grady to Chornick Park. An oldie, but still a goodie...even on a chilly day in November.

Processing film can be mundane, so when the job needs to get done it's best to throw a film processing party! That basically boils down to the regular mundane film processing, but with the company of a friend or two to make it that much more interesting.

Our friend Chelsea is all sorts of artsy as we've pointed out on a number of occasions now. She recently decided to start shooting film with her Diana F+ for some Lomography and some 35mm on her Minolta X-700. It's no surprise to us that she's off to a great start!
