After blueberry pancakes and taking our sweet time until lunch we left our house to take advantage of what looked to be a beautiful day.
First stop was a backyard mini-ramp session.
We'll call this shot "reckless".
The fun little session wrapped up...
...so we jumped in the benz to go pick up the infamous assistant.
We tried to finish up some back to school shopping, but that didn't pan out. We found ourselves in St. Vital and hit up the park.
It was there we met a guy named Derique. He had skills and then some. He appeared to me as a go big or go home kind of dude. It was great to watch.
Unfortunately this last shot was before the board snapped in half.
Why go straight home when you can find an excuse to skate anywhere? I have to admit I was inspired to take this small detour after watching a Happylands/Chornick video on the Winnipeg Skateboarding blog the other day. We skated the snake run, but to our dismay it was in need of a good sweeping and a sump pump.
After taking a break to team up with the The Roommate (formerly Roommate #1)to go out for delicious treats (pun intended), we finished the day of skateboarding at Fort Gary Skate Park.
I hope tomorrow brings more of the same.
