A few months ago we asked the question: "Whatever happened to Jake Stewart? We knew rumour had it that he'd retired from professional skateboarding and had "gone fishing". This was true. Still residing in California, he's back from the boat, back on the scene and he's been a busy little dude.
I say busy little dude because I started skateboarding with him when he was about twelve years old.
...so despite the fact that he's been taller than me since he was seventeen or so, he's always been "little Jake" to me.
Fast forward past skating the streets of Winnipeg and catching big ass fish in the ocean and you'll find Jake is back in the skateboarding game managing the team for the rebirth of Orion Trucks.
How does one go from skateboarding to fishing and back to skateboarding? According to Jake, just like this..."Randomly one day, after working on fishing boats for 6 years, I ran into Professional Canadian Skateboarder Max Dufour. About 10 years ago Max started up Premium Skateboards and Woodchuck laminates in Montreal. Unbeknown to me, he was able to grow the company rather large and expanded to an additional head quarters in Oceanside Ca, along with an additional skateboard factory, making boards for many of the top brands today.
After getting together a few times for a hockey game or occasional skate session, I came to learn that he had purchased Tracker trucks 2 years prior. This sparked my interest as i assumed the Orion Brand came in the deal. After a few meetings and chats we came to an agreement, that I would take on the task of marketing the brand and getting it back to where it once was. It was a no-brainer to me as I knew the trucks were great and already proven so. They were designed , researched and developed by the inventor of the modern skateboard truck, and tested by some of the best professionals in the business.
The next step was getting some guys to represent the company. We have put together a solid team. Pat Duffy [Plan B], Clint Peterson [Stereo], Ryan Decenzo [Darkstar], and most recently, Marty Murawski [Blueprint].

Things are looking good, and trucks will be shipping in four weeks from today, soft goods will be up on the site in a couple of days. New videos and news are posted daily!"
